List of European city regions : ウィキペディア英語版 | List of European city regions
The following is a list of European city regions with more than one city in each region. ==Definition== The term city region has been in use since about 1950 by urbanists, economists and urban planners to mean a metropolitan area and hinterland, often but not necessarily having a shared administration. Typically, it denotes a city, conurbation or urban zone with multiple administrative districts, but sharing resources like a central business district, labour market and transport network, such that it functions as a single unit. == * - Oresund Region, population 3.8m, Copenhagen & Malmo * - Severnside Region, population 1.6m, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol * - Dublin-Belfast corridor, population 3m, Dublin and Belfast * - Cork-Limerick-Galway corridor, population 1m * - Lille-Kortrijk Eurodistrict, population 1.8m * - Strasbourg-Kehl-Offenburg Eurodistrict * - Tricity, population 1 million, Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. * - Freiburg-Alsace Eurodistrict * - Saar-Moselle Eurodistrict * - Basel-Lörrach-St. Louis-Weil am Rhein Eurodistrict * - Venetian Triangle: Venice-Treviso-Padua, with a population of 1.3 million in its core and about 4 million in total * - City Region of Amsterdam (1.406.500) * - Rijnmond (1.337.004) * - Haaglanden (1.017.425) * - Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven (738.846) * - Stadsregio Arnhem Nijmegen (733.432) * - Bestuur Regio Utrecht (654.524) * - Regio Twente (625.356) * - Parkstad Limburg (252.332) * - Manchester-Liverpool conurbation, population, 5.6m * - Glasgow-Edinburgh conurbation, population 3.5m * - Manchester City Region, population 3.3m * - Leeds City Region, population 3m * - Liverpool City Region, population 2.3m * - Sheffield City Region, population 1.8m
